cant play games on sx os

hello i made an account because i cant get games to work on sx os and i can't find any solution. i keep getting a "game card could not be read" error. i've only downloaded 2 games right now because my internet speed is AWFUL, but neither of them work. i got minecraft switch edition and sonic mania. both in XCI format, sx os sees them but i get the error when loading them. my sd card is good i've tested it and i've tried formatting as both fat32 and exfat and they both do the same thing. i'm on fw 3.0.2 and i'd like to stay there if possible because i am using the psnes emulator (playing super mario rpg for the first time) and that apparently wont work on current firmwares. i've looked online and these games should only require at most fw 3.0.2 so i dont know whats going on.

you need to go to your album and select the game first then start it

Thats where im getting the error. It shows up in the album i choose it, it says loading in the corner, then the screen goes black with the error message.

im on newest fw and psnes works just fine

You need latest FW to play newer games fw 3.0.2 wont work nor read the game's
